Me and Theo down at the schoolyard

Yesterday Holly got Theo school supplies.  He loves new stuff.  A couple of weeks ago he revealed his interest in backpacks, when he grabbed one of the groomsmen’s backpacks, put it on and fell asleep on my bed with the backpack on!

So Holly got Theo a backpack for all his stuff.  Oh man, did he like it.  He put that thing on and hardly took it off.  Then he placed all his books and crayons in it and eventually a short little plastic bat in the side pocket.

When it was time for bed, you guessed it; backpack and bat were held tight.  When he woke up this morning, Holly brought him in with backpack on and he laid down with me.  He slept for a few more hours with dreams of backpacks in his head.

This morning I began to require Theo to stay with Alex and I during her time for school. It was a battle at first, but now he is making himself at home – which is an understatement. He just moved his chair to the kitchen in front of the sink with another chair right next to him and the living room lamp stand on the other side. He has Alex’s fan in the second chair. And, of course, his play table is on the cabinet.

This picture is a little blurry, but I guess Theo has had a tough day.  He decided that he a Spongebob should relax with a wine glass of water each.  If you look closely you can see a wine glass on each night stand.

Oh, he came back in and put his coat on and is on the backyard swing now.  The a/c is on.

This morning Theo was serious about getting started.  He got the desk chair to the table and put Spongebob in it.  He retrieved the lamp.  Got a chair, sat down and waited for an egg over-easy.  He then downed the egg, put his new loafers on and headed out to the swing in his Spongebob pajamas.  After that he decided to sit out front on the front porch swing in the pollen.

Remember on Monday Theo included Spongebob with us during school.  Well, apparently Theo noticed one of the light bulbs burned out in the light, so he gave Spongebob a little help today.

I usually have Theo sit with Alex and I during school.  Well he thought that Spongebob should participate too.
