Theo and Pepper

Theo apparently has not noticed that Pepper the dog has died. At least, that is what we thought. Meanwhile, over a year ago our cat died and I buried it in the backyard. Later I noticed a white sheet over the grave, so I asked Alex about it. She didn’t know a thing about it.
Now I buried Pepper right next to the cat. It was late at night, under the cover of darkness. Then a couple of days later I see Theo dragging a colored sheet out the back door. I was busy and didn’t stop him, but later it was pointed out that the sheet was on . . . you guessed it – Pepper’s grave! Okay, I don’t even know what to say about that.

Theo’s sister’s dog died last night. She was crushed. Theo hasn’t seemed to notice. In the mornings Theo can usually be found sitting next to Pepper the dog. But he is not there.
